1. What does Aunt Ann's Elder Home Care do to ensure I receive professional care in my home?
Aunt Ann's Elder Home Care trained elder caregivers are carefully screened prior to placement in your home. All our trained elder caregivers have completed the following:
  • a personal interview
  • a written skills test
  • verification of provided work references
  • completion of Aunt Ann's Elder Home Care safety and orientation training sessions
  • passed a criminal background check executed by PFC Information Services
Additionally, Aunt Ann's Elder Home Care performs the following:
  • bonds each employee
  • insures all employees with professional and general liability
  • supervises and skill tests elder home care aides in your home on an ongoing basis
  • offers all employees continuing education courses
2. What if I need to change my services? Or, what happens if my Home Care Aide is sick?
Aunt Ann's Elder Home Care can be reached 7 days a week 24 hours a day. When your service begins, we will provide an on-call number for you to reach an evening and weekend staffing coordinator. If your aide is sick we will replace him/her with another trained elder care professional.

3. Will Medicare pay for your services?
No, Medicare does not cover homemaking, personal care, assistance with activities of daily living, or custodial care services.

4. What if the Home Health Agency is sending a nurse and I need more care at home?
Aunt Ann's Elder Home Care provides service from 2 to 24 hours a day. We coordinate our personal care services with the Home Health Agency.

5. Is Aunt Ann's Elder Home Care a licensed agency in California?
Yes, Aunt Ann's Elder Home Care has a California State business license.

6. Does the California Department of Health Services have a licensure mechanism for home care agencies that specialize in only staffing home care aides?
